Cinnamon Hot Chocolate
by thepearandthepurplepeach
Just a little something to help warm these wet winter chills we have been having these last few weeks. I can remember wetter weather so what better way to ward of those winter shivers than to hug a nice mug of hot chocolate.
Here I have added a bit of spice with cinnamon but it also works well if you are game with a pinch or two of chilli powder as my partner loves! Or my absolute favourite is to add edible lavender oil. Not for everyone but I just adore it!
What you need:
1.5 rows of a block of dairy free Chocolate (per cup) chopped Finley (add more for extra chocolate goodness)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Splash Vanilla
Splash agave syrup
Dairy free milk
What you do:
I have an espresso machine that I use to froth my milk for the final result so I place chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and agave into a cup or mug and pour over enough of dairy free milk to just cover and pop into the microwave for about 30 seconds or until hot, leave aside whilst I heat my milk. During this time the heat from the milk will melt the chocolate then all I do is stir the chocolate mixture until thick and melted then top whilst stirring with the hot frothed milk.
Alternatively Add chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and agave to a cup or mug and pour over enough of your dairy free milk to fill your mug. Pop into the microwave and heat in 30 second bursts or until hot. Remove carefully and stir to incorporate.
You won’t get the cafe style froth on top but it will still be awesome!!!
Enjoy
With Compassion
